Thus Love Announce New Album 'All Pleasure' | News

Thus Love return with new single ‘Birthday Music’ and plans for an incoming album.

The band are primarily based in Brattleboro, an arts hub in Vermont with a detailed knit DIY scene. Thus Love charmed on their debut album, a riveting fusion of precocious post-punk, indie rock songwriting, and a few sudden parts.

New album ‘All Pleasure’ is out on November 1st, and it finds the four-piece shifting into a distinct period. There’s an actual sense of directness on ‘Birthday Music’, with Thus Love throwing a dose of pop into the combination, earlier than rallying across the cry of “keep in mind to breathe / that is the worst it’ll ever be…”

The video for ‘Birthday Music’ was shot on location in Southern Vermont, directed by Augie Voss and Benni Shumlin.

The administrators picked up on the music’s themes, aiming to emulate “a mishmash of lust, ruralness, craving, pop, and queerdom.”

Vocalist/guitarist Echo Mars shares the next: “‘Birthday Music’ is an easy music about friendship and the way we typically don’t give these sorts of platonic relationships the respect and care they should thrive. We don’t have the identical language that we do for romantic partnerships however I feel these relationships are each bit as vital in making us really feel protected, safe and validated. When it got here time to pick out the primary single, ‘Birthday Music’ felt like the right method to introduce the brand new model of Thus Love and our new associates, Ally and Shane.”

Tune in now.
