“Initially ‘One Eye Open’ was written for The Birdsong Undertaking and was an acoustic guitar-led track,” Douglas explains. “Once I was writing my new digital album Omni, Robert at my label stated he was curious to listen to OEO in the same vein. I leaned totally right into a heavy membership sound and I used to be shocked to listen to it labored on this new manner. ‘One Eye Open’ was so heavy that it did not make sense to incorporate on the Omni album so we saved it for its personal second.”
