Bananagun Return With New Album 'Why Is The Colour Of The Sky' | News

Bananagun will launch new album ‘Why Is The Color Of The Sky’ on November eighth.

The band’s exuberant debut LP blends psych-pop, tropicalia, and extra, leading to a potent summer-ready brew of sunshine guitar-rooted songwriting.

A mere 4 years on, the Melbourne act have accomplished a follow-up. Recorded at Button Pusher studio in Preston, Melbourne, Bananagun goal to channel mystical soundwaves, jazz-tinged grooves, and psychedelic reverberations.

The group say…

“It’s concerning the transient vitality throughout us and inside us, exchanging between us, and the infinite prospects relying on the place you select to position your vitality. It’s like a pressure larger than us that we will harness and transmute into cool issues like a sculpture, a track, or perhaps a roast dinner. It’s the ‘pressure’ Yoda talks about.” 

New single ‘Free Vitality’ has a jazz-like looseness to it – maybe an echo of Melbourne’s internationally famend free music scene.
