“Star” started as a sketch by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of 9 Inch Nails, developed by Bryan Ferry and Amelia Barratt into an anxious, darkly gleaming slab of pounding post-techno.

Talking about ‘Star’ Bryan Ferry stated: “Star is a collaboration with the painter and author Amelia Barratt. A few years in the past I helped her document an audiobook right here in my studio. I used to be very impressed by her writing, and that is the primary music we did collectively. I’m very enthusiastic about this new work – there’s much more to return.”

The 81 tracks that make up Retrospective: Chosen Recordings 1973-2023 illustrate an journey in music like no different.
