That includes current single “Coast”, the gathering of 11 songs is Kim Deal’s first full-length album beneath her personal identify. No one Loves You Extra is Kim Deal’s debut album though it’s not the primary time she has gone solo – she self-released a five-part, ten-song seven-inch vinyl collection in 2013.
In line with Deal’s meticulous method to her artwork, the album was refined over a number of years. Its oldest songs, “Are You Mine?” and “Want I Was’” had been written and initially recorded in 2011 shortly after Deal got here off the Pixies’ “Misplaced Cities Tour” and relocated to Los Angeles (early variations of these songs had been included in stated vinyl collection); the final recording for No one Loves You Extra befell in November 2022 with legendary engineer and shut buddy Steve Albini, who helmed closing monitor “A Good Time Pushed” at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago.
