Set within the enchanting Larmer Tree Gardens, a Victorian marvel spanning eleven acres of ornate structure, mystical forests, and its famed peacocks, Finish of the Highway feels as if it exists in a world aside. The competition has at all times excelled at uncovering underground expertise and bringing these artists to mild. Rooted in an earthy, folk-driven spirit, this 12 months’s lineup displays how properly the competition has advanced to remain in tune with the occasions.

London’s masked MC and cinematic storyteller CASISDEAD will take the stage within the early hours of Saturday evening, joined by NYC’s mutant electro-punks Lip Critic and Baltimore’s time-warped freestyler, Nourished By Time, providing an array of left-field surprises.

The competition’s opening day, although restricted in scale with many levels to open the next morning, holds no bars with the ferocity of its artists. It’s, by far, one of many busiest but. The Folly is the epicentre of all the things on Thursday, and kicking issues off is SOMOH, one among three winners of the Play EOTR competitors together with her incisive mix of 90s indie and bedroom-pop within the vein of Soccer Mommy and Beabadoobee.
