Half Waif announces forthcoming EP, Ephemeral Being

“This can be a track about searching for solutions, and discovering none, and looking out once more,” Nandi Rose explains of “Massive Dipper.” “It was written at a time after I was feeling very caught in my physique and overwhelmed by compounding griefs. I used to be impressed by the Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh, who had simply handed away, and his thought of continuation–how we aren’t sure by our kinds. We proceed on. ‘This physique will not be me,’ he stated. ‘So snigger with me, maintain my hand, allow us to say goodbye, say goodbye to fulfill once more quickly.’”

Recorded over the course of the winter of 2021 and into the next spring, the Ephemeral Being EP seems on the transience of life whereas celebrating the continuation of nature and its cycles. The discharge follows the 2021 album, Mythopoetics, and the next EP Portraits, which was made up of piano variations of songs from her Mythopoetics and The Caretaker albums.
