Talking on the inspiration behind his newest providing Mustafa shares: “‘SNL’ is about discovering attraction within the gloom of the hood- to like regardless of the circumstance, regardless of the worst of us.” The forthcoming debut album, Dunya, will characteristic Mustafa’s 2023 single “Title of God” along with his 2024 singles “Imaan” and “Gaza is Calling”.
The forthcoming album’s title roughly interprets from Arabic to “the world in all its flaws.”
“SNL” and Dunya’s announcement arrive on the heels of the second version of Mustafa’s Artists for Assist profit live shows, the latest of which happened on July 4th in London that includes performances by Bint Mbareh, Blood Orange, Clairo, Daniel Caesar, Earl Sweatshirt, King Krule, Nicolas Jaar, Ramy Youssef and Yasiin Bey, along with Mustafa himself and particular visitor performer FKA twigs. The occasion, which was introduced in partnership with the help organisation Struggle Little one, raised funds to learn Gaza and Sudan.
