Australian producer and vocalist Laura Jane Lowther, identified professionally as KUČKA, has shared her second full-length ‘Can You Hear Me Dreaming?’ by way of LUCKYME®.
The twelve-track assortment follows her 2021 debut LP ‘Wrestling‘, and surveys the potent energy of emotional voyeurism, described by KUČKA as “making an attempt to know somebody by means of an (imagined) emotional standpoint as an alternative of a purely logical one”.
Preceded by singles ‘Heavyweight‘ and ‘Wasting Time (til the end of the world)‘, KUČKA explores the frontiers of fantasy and actuality, whereby symbols and imagery work together chaotically as a car for deeper emotional landscapes. Shifting past true-to-life documentation, the producer-artist faucets into vivid dreamscapes and views, her technical prowess coming by means of in tracks that merge the sheen of pop with digital fractures and reconstructed electronics.
