She Drew The Gun returns with new single ‘Nothing Lasts’.

The challenge hinges on the creativeness of songwriter Louisa Roach, an artist who has constructed a singular catalogue. Merging psych with post-punk, pop with the left-field, her lyrical touches transfer between science fiction, societal observations, and ruthless private honesty.

2021 album ‘Behave Myself’ was critically acclaimed, and since then She Drew The Gun has shared a gentle string of singles.

Out now on Submarine Cat Information, ‘Nothing Lasts’ was born from early morning introspection, earlier than the studio association allowed She Drew The Gun to indulge her Roy Orbison fantasies.

A dose of outsider pop music, she notes…

“It’s a break up track that began life as a poem I wrote straight into my morning pages, in order near that half whenever you first get up and all of your acutely aware ideas haven’t correctly kicked in but. It’s about letting issues go, endings, the ache of loss however that this too shall go. It couldn’t be extra totally different to Howl, it’s the opposite facet of She Drew The Gun, that doesn’t get seen so typically however it’s a chapter I’ve been in. I felt like I used to be channelling Roy Orbison a bit once I was writing it however then we did the demo and it went extra pop with synths and strings, and much more so within the studio.”

Tune in now.
