Cass McCombs unveils surprise release, Seed Cake On Leap Year

Alongside final week’s reissues of his first three albums – 2002’s Not The Means EP, 2003’s A, and 2005’s PREfection – Seed Cake On Leap Yr is a group of early, beforehand unreleased music recorded at Jason Quever’s condo at 924 Fulton in San Francisco whereas McCombs was dwelling in Berkeley between 1999 and 2000. In tandem with the discharge, Cass presents movies for “Anchor Baby,” “Child,” and “I’ve Performed This Tune Earlier than.”
