Welsh group CVC have shared new single ‘The Lowrider (Simply About Meant To Be)’.
The band’s excellent dwell exhibits are a factor of surprise, whereas 2023 debut album ‘Get Actual’ displayed big promise. Mixing small city appeal with no small diploma of ambition, CVC have hit the studio to forge one thing new.
Out now, ‘The Lowrider (Simply About Meant To Be)’ matches a G-Funk bass-line to their impish indie appeal, whereas the clipped, disco-fuelled guitars are worthy of CHIC grasp Nile Rodgers.
A dream-like hymn to like and romance, ‘The Lowrider (Simply About Meant To Be)’ is about these moments when two individuals are completely in sync.

’The Lowrider’ was written after a prolonged session in our outdated native (The Metropolis Arms in Cardiff) about my long-distance lover and how we’re ‘nearly meant to be’! Then when we obtained house and hit the ‘bass’ setting on the synth – the remainder of the tune simply poured out. It’s known as ‘The Lowrider’ as a result of we thought it’d be nice to get Snoop Dogg concerned with it in some unspecified time in the future, cos it shares a number of that that West Coast flavour!
