Dawn Richard and Spencer Zahn unveil new collaborations, “Diets”

On the album’s creation, Richards says, “I went into the studio—I didn’t write this down—and purged it out, after which I didn’t change something after it. It was actually the toughest factor I’ve ever accomplished. Our household has a distorted view of remedy; I’ve needed to do plenty of therapeutic alone. So this was a second of extreme openness, sharing that second with the world. However once more, for some cause, once I work with Spencer, there’s a vulnerability that I faucet into that I don’t do with anybody else. And I’m unafraid to strive.”

Richard and Zahn share a standard collaborative ethos, a real sense of musical curiosity, and an eagerness to flee the conventions of style. That shared imaginative and prescient first introduced them collectively on 2022’s Pigments, and now reunites them for Quiet in a World Filled with Noise.
