Spirit | The 12″ Singles, a collector’s version deluxe field set, accommodates seven 12″ vinyl discs together with customized replicas of the unique three double 12″ singles from Spirit – their fourteenth studio album – The place’s the Revolution (initially launched 3 February 2017, prematurely of the album), Going Backwards (launched 23 June 2017), and Cowl Me (launched 6 October 2017).
As a bonus for Depeche Mode followers, Spirit | The 12″ Singles premieres a particular seventh disc: the first-ever 12″ vinyl urgent of the band’s legendary Highline Periods, recorded stay in New York Metropolis on 3 August 2016. Essentially the most full recording of Depeche Mode’s Highline Periods ever launched in any format, this five-song 12″ vinyl single contains their cowl of David Bowie’s “Heroes” (celebrating the anthem’s 2017 fortieth anniversary) and two beforehand unreleased performances of songs “So A lot Love” and “Poison Coronary heart”.

Depeche Mode recorded their Spirit album from April by August 2016 at Sound Design in Santa Barbara, California and Jungle Metropolis in New York, working for the primary time with producer James Ford. Spirit was the final Depeche Mode studio album to function founding member and keyboardist Andy Fletcher earlier than his passing on 26 Could 2022.
