Father John Misty Announces New Album 'Mahashmashana' | News

Father John Misty has shared plans for brand spanking new album ‘Mahashmashana’.

The incoming album options eight tracks and 50 minutes of recent music, together with a flurry of current singles. Out on November 22nd via Bella Union, ‘Mahashmashana’ was co-produced by Father John Misty and Drew Erickson; the LP was government produced by Jonathan Wilson.

New single ‘Screamland’ is a surprising feast of invention, a seven-minute journey that features a paint-stripping second from Low legend Alan Sparhawk on guitar.

Estefania Kröl directs the video, with the movie maker commenting: “The video is a visible journey by means of the depths of ‘Screamland,’ capturing the essence of each the music and the artists. Father John Misty blends seamlessly into the scene, turning into part of the town, a dwelling echo of ‘Screamland.’”
