“I made this monitor fairly quick (for me) and I liked it from day one. Once I first heard Robyn’s vocal it was at 6am after ending enjoying at Pacha in Ibiza, it was the proper second,” Jamie says. “Robyn and I’ve frolicked working collectively and hanging out for some years now, it’s at all times a pleasure and at all times inspiring, I’m so glad and grateful that she is part of In Waves. Thanks Robyn for bringing this monitor to life!”
The monitor sees Robyn on her first main new launch for the reason that 2018 album, Honey.
Forward of latest single, “Life”, Jamie launched “Baddy On The Ground”, his summer season collaboration with Honey Dijon earlier than heralding information of the album in June with “Deal with Every Different Proper”; a monitor that was accompanied by a much-talked about video from photographer and filmmaker Rosie Marks.
The forthcoming launch comes 9 years on from the discharge of his GRAMMY, BRIT, Ivor Novello and Mercury Music Prize-nominated debut album, In Color, and sees Jamie collaborate with Honey Dijon, Robyn, The Avalanches, Kelsey Lu, John Glacier and Panda Bear, Oona Doherty and his The xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim.
