Leon Bridges will return with new album ‘Leon’ later this 12 months.
Out on October 4th, it follows a handful of collaborations – with Gunna and Kacey Musgraves – earlier this 12 months. The Texan artist’s earlier studio album ‘Gold-Diggers Sound’ landed in 2021, whereas he teamed up with UK artist Olivia Dean for ‘The Hardest Half’ final 12 months.

’Leon’ has been a long-time coming. I began writing items of it way back to Gold-Diggers Sound. They didn’t match what I used to be making an attempt to do with that album and I attempted shifting on. However I couldn’t shake them as a result of they’re a part of me. And, if I’m sincere, additionally as a result of I believe that is a few of my most wonderful work but.
In some ways, Leon has been within the works since my childhood. This report is about less complicated days. It’s about time spent in my beloved Fort Price and the experiences that made me the person I’m right now. It’s soulful music within the truest sense – it’s imbued with my soul.
I’m excited to share these tales about my house, about nostalgia, about my upbringing, about the place I’m from, with all of you. I hope this music brings you again to your roots and your journey.
