“It is a tune I wrote about my long-term lover,” explains Rebecca Lucy Taylor AKA Self Esteem. “Music is a troublesome lover. Controlling and poisonous. I don’t suggest it. My coronary heart aches however I can’t deny that no one does it fairly like them.”
“Large Man” Second Music First” are Self Esteem’s first new songs for the reason that launch of her wildly acclaimed BRIT and Mercury Prize-nominated 2021 album Prioritise Pleasure. “Large Man” is the collaboration with South African trailblazer Moonchild Sanelly which explores the nuances of contemporary masculinity and gender roles.
