London-based artist SHEIVA has shared new EP ‘Heech’.
The British-Iranian artist is a widely known collaborator, having labored with some common CLASH favourites – assume Obongjayar, Sam Akpro, James Massiah, Louis Tradition, Wu-Lu and extra.
Alongside the best way, SHEIVA has constructed solo materials – probing, experimental, usually emotional vignettes, they’ve now pieced collectively their debut EP.
Out now on female-forward imprint Saffron Data, the EP comprises three songs, every with their very own character. ‘Piano Track’ is maybe central to the expertise, melting collectively SHEIVA’s creativity, with a way of lo-fi experimentalism.

The piano and singing have been recorded on my telephone whereas I used to be simply improvising on the upright-piano, afterwards me and Shimz produced the tune, layered it with ethereal backing vocals after which in fact Shimz created an incredible drop. [Piano Song has a] deep which means surrounding striving with optimism – it’s a message to my youthful self to ‘be your self’.
