Sylvan Esso share remix of “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” by The Postal Service

“The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” is taken from their 2003 album, Give Up. Of the remix, The Postal Service’s Jimmy Tamborello mentioned: “I like Sylvan Esso and was excited to listen to the tune by their ears. It got here out so good, massive and tweaky and enjoyable!”

“‘The District Sleeps Alone Tonight’ was a formative tune for each of us,” Sylvan Esso mentioned. “Nick remembers listening to the promo copy spooling out of his automotive audio system whereas he delivered pizza; Amelia remembers listening to it at the back of somebody’s van throughout her freshman lunch hour. Each of us thought the tune touched one thing new then — and to be requested to reinterpret it now could be an honor.”

To rejoice twenty years of Give Up and Transatlanticism, The Postal Service and Loss of life Cab for Cutie have joined forces for an unprecedented twentieth anniversary co-headline tour. The Postal Service and Loss of life Cab for Cutie will headline All Factors East in Victoria Park, closing out the pageant on Sunday 25 August.
