TSHA, Master Peace Unite For Throwback Banger 'Can't Dance' | News

TSHA hyperlinks with mosh pit maestro Grasp Peace on new single ‘Can’t Dance’.

The producer will launch new album ‘Unhappy Lady’ on September twenty seventh, and it’s a broad survey of her influences. TSHA takes it to the following degree, shifting from surging home to soundsystem flavours, all whereas flexing her songwriting muscle tissues.

New single ‘Can’t Dance’ is an outstanding faculty disco curler, the plucked guitar melody recalling these epic Craig David model R&B jewels. The beats are pure liquid DNB, paying homage to the killer crossover cuts which dominated the Millennial charts (and TikTok in 2024, come to think about it).

The beautiful manufacturing is mixed to impulsive songwriting, pieced collectively alongside musician and actor Raleigh Ritchie aka Jacob Anderson.

The lyrics cope with adolescent emotions – these self-conscious vibes that, deep down, by no means really go away us. CLASH favorite Grasp Peace sits in on vocals, and it turns right into a neat piece of push-and-pull over these rolling breakbeats.

“I really like the lyrics, as a result of it jogs my memory of faculty discos,” says TSHA. “The lady, the boy, wanting to bounce. Individuals making an attempt to look too cool, and never wanting to bounce, or individuals wanting to bounce – or there’s all the time that one individual that’s dancing loopy, they’re all over, and everybody’s laughing.”

“Jacob cherished the track, however was like, I wrote these lyrics after I was 19, it doesn’t really feel like me anymore,” explains TSHA. “So I used to be making an attempt to assume who else would work for the vocal, who might ship that cheeky, British, enjoyable vibe. I used to be wanting by Grasp Peace’s stuff and I used to be like, I’m obsessed. This man’s sick. I cherished his angle.”

Tune in now.
